One of the fundamental roles of a Certified Secretary is to ensure that all Board and Committees papers are accurately written, are relevant and circulated in good time. Board papers are a key source of information as they provide relevant material upon which Board
Members base their decisions on the matters put before them. Therefore, part of preparations for a meeting include drawing the agenda as well as timely preparation and circulation of board papers. After the meeting, the CS should ensure accurate, timely preparation and circulation of Board and Committee minutes with resolutions highlighted therein. This capacity building program therefore is designed to develop and enhance the competence of CS professionals in the areas of writing board papers and minutes.
The Institute now invites members who are interested in developing their capacity in the aforementioned areas to express interest for the May 2018 programme which will be held on Friday May 4th and Saturday May 5th 2018 between 8.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. at the Institute’s offices, CPS Governance Centre, Upper Hill, Nairobi.
